Bite-sized Dragon
Update!

[UC Irvine]

So, I got accepted and decided to go to University of California, Irvine. I was accepted into the Pharmaceutical Sciences major.. which is the one I really wanted. Ish happy about that. This stuff is so confusing, though.

[South Bay League Tennis Champions]

So, the tennis season is finally coming to an end and as a team, Southwest went undefeated the entire season. It’s a much different feeling than the football team, yeah. I didn’t play much, but it was a nice experience and I know I’m better than I was when we started. I wish Andrew would’ve stayed with it, though, because I really didn’t like playing singles or playing doubles with anyone else. It’s all good, though. CIF next week — good luck Vinoe, Kyle, Alvin, John, Patrick, Dominic, Eddie, and Romy!

[PROM!]

It’s prom night and I’m not sure what to think. Bunch of mixed feelings and all. I can’t say I’m too excited about going, but hey, you only get one Prom in your year. Wearing a tuxedo is always fun, too.. although waiting in line three hours just to try it on isn’t.

[Puente Banquet]

Banquet? I didn’t even know there was going to be one. It’s all good, though. Should be interesting to say the least. I hope Rodriguez says something funny for old time’s sake. Next Thursday.

[Football Banquet?]

Twenty dollars to attend your own banquet? Seriously? I don’t wanna do that.. I do wanna go, though. See what they wanna say even though it’s like.. five or six months late. It’s next Saturday.

[Senior Year Finale]

Well, my mom got me a class ring. It’s pretty nice. It has the Southwest mascot on one side and two tennis rackets on the other. I’m pretty sure my grades are okay, but I can’t screw up now. I also have that AP Government test on Tuesday that I’m pretty confident about. I’mma give it my all. Congratulations to Jethro and Alvin for Co-Val. I’ll be honest and say I wish I would’ve tried harder, but freshman year I really screwed up because of my emotions and I didn’t even know Valedictorian even existed. It’s alright because I’m still tied with you two in UC GPA, though. Haha. Grad Night is in like three weeks. Disneyland ftw? Oh, and it’s pretty nice and I’m not sure why, but I’ve been acting in a better way now.. like, I feel happy, but not exactly because I know I’m not particularly. Just more chill I think. I do luff my best friends, though.

[Anime.. because I wanted to.. XD]

I won’t get into too much detail about my anime stuff because I’ve been watching so many and it’s hard to keep track of them all. I do get into the romance ones, though. Guilty pleasure.

(When We Say (Juicebox) by AJ Rafael)

Here’s the English translation to this song. Songs like this that really remind me why I truly like listening to Japanese songs (including ones played in anime). The lyrics are just.. uh.. I dunno the word. Awesome. Rofl.

We live like Icarus, having lost our innocent bravery

Those days and their overwhelming questions; Hold them tight

Search for an answer, and find yourself in a maze

Realize the answer is here, and everything becomes anew

Face into the wind and a light will be there; Believe that

Your tears will eventually dry and disappear

even if life is still hard

It may seem far away, but for now, a small smile is fine

We get through the wind out of breath and run

GET THE BELL!

So, the conclusion of my high school football year comes to an end. Our football season has a record of 5-5.. a great season compared to the years past. We would have went to the playoffs and even had a football banner if we had won today and I do feel robbed, but that’s how it is. I didn’t even get to play because I played with the Junior Varsity on Wednesday to try to get myself ready for today. Mar Vista complained to the CIF officials and they deemed it inappropriate for us to participate again. That left the team today with minimal numbers. A lot of people including Lamar and Derek were already unable to continue playing. We were severely handicapped and the game ended 56-0, but.. I had a great season. Yesterday, all of the seniors burned their practice jerseys after a few words and the experience made my eyes water up. The ashes were spread later to commemorate the season and the last game. I gave up my life for the team. I know I did.. and I hope that the life that I want to return to is still there. I love Southwest and I love the Raider football team. GO RAIDERS!!!
